The China Private Equity Summit is an HKVCA flagship event, attracting over 600 venture capital and private equity practitioners, leading corporates, and other industry professionals and participants from across the region. The “new normal” in China appears to be mid, single-digit growth, which while still respectable, is significantly slower than in previous years. From “consumption upgrade” amidst general exuberance, sentiment has become more subdued. The economy has been overshadowed by trade tensions with the US. Despite both countries’ efforts to reach common ground after a series of negotiations, uncertainties linger over the bilateral relationship.
